Samsung will hold on Sunday its next smartphone event on Jan. 14, where it is expected to launch the newest versions of its Galaxy flagship phones. Some media reports of previous leaks suggest there could be three phones announced: Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra.

Meanwhile, the event launching is set to take place the same week as the digital- CES 2021 — the biggest tech show of the year, where major companies often show off their new products. On other hand, Samsung’s president and head of mobile communications business, TM Roh explained on December that Samsung will expand its portfolio of foldable smartphones, making those devices “more accessible to everyone in 2021.

Also, the company reported that its Q3 earnings were partly boosted by sales of smartphones, including the Galaxy Note 20. But Samsung predicted there would be intense competition in the smartphone and consumer electronics space in the Q4 of the year.

Later, Samsung announced on October 2020, that its brand ranked 5th most-valuable global brand this year. The brand is valued at $62.3 billion, according to Interbrand’s latest top 100 best global brands list. Also, the firm is the 1st South Korean to achieve the feat, after initial evaluation of its brand value began in 2000.

The firm reported that its quick response to the COVID-19 pandemic with global activities for corporate social responsibility, companywide programs for sustainable development, continuous launching of innovative products and consistent investment into advanced technologies led to the growth of its brand value.
