‘Saheb el Makam’ to Premiere Early Online ahead of Cinema Debut

In its first in Egypt, Egyptian stars Yousra and Asser Yassin's new movie "Saheb el Makam", will premiere online on "Shahid Vip" streaming platform, ahead of its cinema debut in Eid el Adha holidays.

It also stars Amina Khalil, Riham Abdel Gahfour, Bayoumi Fouad, Nesrine Amin, and others.

"Saheb el Makam’’ is written by Ibrahim Eissa, directed by Mando el Adl, and produced by Ahmed el Sobky.

Yousra appears throughout the movie to Yassin, who embodies the role of a wealthy businessman, in the form of a spirit and chases him, especially since his grandfather is an awliya allah al salihin, while Khalil presents the role of his wife.

Saheb el Makam’s debut comes after Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli announced on June 23rd a set of measures, including the cancelation of the partial curfew, aimed at co-existing with COVID-19 that went into effect on June 27 among them were that Cinemas, theaters, and entertainment venues will operate with 25 percent capacity.

Yousra's latest artistic work is TV series “Kayanat Ahd”, while Yassin participated in the holy month with TV series "Bi 100 wesh".

The novel coronavirus was first reported in Wuhan, China, and has infected more than one million people and killed over 234,139 worldwide. It also hit several celebrities and top political figures around the world.

On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared coronavirus a global pandemic as the new virus has rapidly spread to more than 800,000 people from Asia to the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.

Transmission of viruses between humans happens when someone comes into contact with an infected person’s secretions, such as droplets in a cough.

Coronavirus can also be transmitted by coming into contact with something an infected person has touched and then touching your mouth, nose, or eyes.

It is known that older people appear to be more vulnerable to the effects of the emerging virus.

The virus caused complete paralysis in all activities and events with large gatherings worldwide due to concerns over the spread of the virus.

People across the globe partake in self-isolation for 14 days as an effective precautionary measure to protect those around them and themselves from contracting COVID-19.

It is worth mentioning that Civene Mohamed Hafiz Naseem‏, mostly known as Yousra, was born on March 10, 1951.

She was discovered by photographer Abdul Haleem Nasr who gave her a role in his debut as a filmmaker.

Yousra is best known for her TV appearances on “Arees we aroussa”(Groom and bride)‏, “Al-shaahed al-waheed” (The only witness)‏, ”Hayaat al-Gohary”‏ (al-Gohary’s life), “Raafat al-Haggaan”‏, “Sayyedat al-fondok” (The Lady of the hotel)‏, “Awaan al-ward” (A time for flowers)‏, “Ayna Kalby?” (Where is my heart?), ”Malak rowhy”(King of my soul), “Ahlam A’deya” (Normal Dream), “Saraya Abdeen”, and “Ladina Aqwal Okhra” (We have Further Comments).

The actress also played stage roles like “Ka’b aaly i.e. High heels” and “Lamma baba yenaam i.e. When daddy sleeps”.

She is married to Khaled Selim, the son of football Legend Saleh Selim and the sister-in-law of actor Hesham Selim.

The actress’s pure talent flourished in renowned film director Youssef Chahine’s “Eskendereyya kamaan we kamaan” (Alexandria again and forever”), “Al-mohaager” (The immigrant), and “Eskendereyya New York” (Alexandria New York).

Among her most famous cinematic roles are films “Al-‘assefa” (The storm)‏, “Al-gou’” ( The Hunger)‏, “Al-mansy” (The forgotten), and “Toyour al-zalaam” (The birds of darkness).

The actress has frequently acted with prominent actor, Adel Imam and shined through her roles in “Al-irhab wal kabab”‏, “Ala Bab El Wazir”‏, and “Al-avokato”.

During her career, she has presented a large number of artistic works in Egyptian cinema and television drama.

In 2016, Yousra was appointed as UNAIDS Regional Goodwill Ambassador for the Middle East and North Africa.

In 2019, Yousra, famed producer and head of Cairo International Film Festival Mohamed Hefzy and acclaimed director Amr Salama were chosen as members to the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.

Yousra was the first Egyptian and Arab female filmmaker to attend the Oscar ceremony and walk on its red carpet.
