South Korea’s National Assembly Speaker Park Byeong-Seug and his accompanying delegation visited the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) and the Religious Complex, on the sidelines of his current official visit to Egypt.
They were received by Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, Head of the Authority of the NMEC, where they toured the central exhibition hall to learn more about the museum's archaeological artifacts and the Royal Mummies Hall, which became the focus of the world's attention and a source of attraction for visitors.
They also toured the Religious Complex in Old Cairo, where they visited Abu Serga Church (the Cave Church). The delegation also listened to a detailed explanation about the history of this area and its restoration works.
At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation expressed their great admiration for the relics that they enjoyed during the visit, which express religious tolerance throughout various historical periods in Egypt.
