Eighteen months after Halyna Hutchins, a cinematographer was shot and killed by Alec Baldwin on the set of “Rust” movie, there are reports that filming has resumed.

During the filming of “Rust” on a farm in New Mexico, USA, on October 21, 2021, Baldwin raised a weapon that was supposed to contain fake bullets, and the surprise was that the ammunition was live and the bullets fired from the weapon caused the death of Hutchins and the injury of director Joel Souza.

Baldwin was acquitted of the premeditated murder charge, and while the criminal case continues, filming is expected to resume Thursday in the US state of Montana.

In a statement, the lawyer for the producing company, Melina Spadoni, said the production will continue to use crew members who hold union accreditations, and it will prohibit the use of weapons during work or any form of ammunition.

She explained that live ammunition has always been, and still is, prohibited in filming locations.

The first assistant director of Rust, Dave Holz, who handed Baldwin the weapon, was sentenced to a 6-month suspended prison term after a plea agreement.
