Russian currency (ruble) compensated today Thursday, some of its losses against both US dollar, and Euro.
Rising of the ruble came after circulated hopes about progress achieved in talks between Russia and Ukraine on the backdrop of war in Ukraine.
At 10.06 am Moscow time, the US dollar was downed by 2.48 rubles to hit 115.21 rubles, according to data published by Moscow Exchange.
Interfax, a Russian news agency, said ruble enjoyed more risings this week as brokers bet on achieving progress in peace talks between the warring parties in Ukraine.
It is worth noting that the ruble collapsed against the US dollar earlier this month for the first time in history on the sidelines of harsh sanctions imposed by Western countries led by the United States of America (USA) on Russia due to its military operation in Ukraine.
Following sanctions, the Russian government announced strict measures to keep financial and economic stability in the country.
