The Russian House in Cairo organized a comprehensive cultural and entertainment celebration marking Russia’s National Day, attracting large numbers of children and their families. The event created a festive atmosphere that blended art, music, creativity, and cultural exchange.
The celebration featured a variety of artistic and creative workshops for children and their parents, in addition to a special photo corner. A chess competition for children and a traditional handicrafts workshop were also held, receiving enthusiastic participation from attendees.
The lobby of the Russian House Library hosted an art exhibition titled “Egyptian and Russian Cultural Heritage,” showcasing works created by students of the art studio under the supervision of artist Heba Saleh. The exhibition drew significant attention from visitors, who admired the young artists’ talents and creative expressions reflecting the rich cultural ties between Egypt and Russia.
The event concluded with a diverse artistic program featuring young talents, including students from the Guitar Studio under the supervision of Ayman Habib, Harmonica Studio students led by Sherif Carlos, Piano Studio performers, singers of the Kalinka Ensemble directed by Louisa Bledzhants, and artists from the Indigo Russian Ballet Center under the supervision of Diana Karnisheva. Members of the Youth Wing of the Coordinating Council of Russian Citizens’ Organizations in Egypt also took part in the festivities.
Dr. Vadim Zaitchikov, Director of the Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt, stated that the National Day celebration provided an excellent platform to showcase the talents of both Russian and Egyptian children across various artistic fields. He emphasized that such events play an important role in strengthening cultural and human connections between the Egyptian and Russian peoples while fostering friendship and mutual understanding.
