The Russian House in Cairo will host the opening of the “In Love with Egypt” art exhibition this Sunday, April 20, at 7:00 PM. The event will be inaugurated by Tarek El-Koumy, Head of the Fine Artists Syndicate, and Arseny Matyushenko, Acting Director of Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt.

The exhibition will feature 30 paintings created by students from the Russian University, offering a unique artistic perspective on Egyptian civilization through the eyes of young Russian artists.

The event will be attended by distinguished guests like Dr. Anna Pino, a professor at Moscow University and renowned film director; Sherif Gad, Director of Cultural Activities and Secretary-General of the Egyptian-Russian Friendship Association; and Daria Butcharova, Senior Specialist at the Russian Center.

The artworks were produced under the supervision of Dr. Pino, who teaches at the Moscow Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering, part of the Moscow University of Information Technology. Known for her deep appreciation of Egyptian heritage, Pino frequently travels to Egypt and encourages her students to explore its cultural legacy.

“This exhibition reflects the admiration and curiosity of Russian youth towards Egyptian civilization,” said Matyushenko.

Dr. Pino echoed the sentiment, noting that her students study Egyptian history and heritage with genuine enthusiasm and dream of visiting the country.

On his part, Ahmed Ghaweba, the exhibition's commissioner, highlighted the dedication behind the project, crediting Pino’s expertise and commitment as a driving force.

Also, Gad mentioned that Dr. Pino's passion for Egypt goes beyond academia. “She not only studies and teaches Egyptian civilization but also speaks and sings in ancient Egyptian, which she shares with her students as part of a deep cultural immersion,” he said.
