Hours ago, Russian Foreign Minister Sergi Lavrov stressed that his country and Armenia affirmed their full adherence to the Russian-Azerbaijani-Armenian statement on disputed Karabakh, reiterating Russia's insistence to solve the region's humanitarian problems.
Lavrov's remarks came as a Russian delegation visited Armenia on Saturday to hold talks on the importance of ensuring a complete implementation of the statement issued by the leaders of the three states on November 9 regarding the cessation of hostilities in Karabakh.
The Russian and Armenian sides unanimously stressed that attempts to discredit this statement are unacceptable, and that the deal has no alternatives.
Lavrov said that the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, and the Head of State Armen Sarkissian, stressed that the statement “contributed to solving very serious problems and saving lives.”
