The Azerbaijani Embassy in France filed a complaint, on Friday, calling on the judicial authorities to investigate alleged war crimes committed by French mercenaries in the Karabakh region.

“According to our information confirmed by French media as well, a large number of French mercenaries of Armenian and non-Armenian origin associated with the French extreme right passed to Yerevan, before they headed to the Azerbaijani lands that were occupied by Armenia,” the embassy stated on Twitter.

The embassy mentioned that it has called for an investigation at the French National Prosecutor’s Office to fight terrorism and, “put an end to the actions of these terrorists who pose a great threat to international and regional security.”

The embassy also stated that the Azerbaijani judicial authorities are fully ready to cooperate with the French authorities within the framework of the requirements of international law.

On the other hand, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, announced, on Saturday, 21 November, that the talks, held by the Russian government delegation in Yerevan, confirm the two parties’ adherence to implementing the trilateral agreement.

“The Armenian leaders – we also met with the President of Armenia – both he and the Prime Minister stressed that this statement helped solve serious problems, helped save lives. And they are fully committed to ensuring that this agreement is fulfilled in the future,” Lavrov said on the results of the talks in Yerevan.
