The Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) has announced its 2025 plan with a programme that includes international performances and distinctive cultural and artistic activities.
The January concerts begin with the performance of the opera "Beauty and the Beast" on ice on January 2, 3 and 4, with the participation of Omani performer Amani Fancy. The show combines dazzling performance, charming choreography, and breathtaking effects.
On 16 and 17 January, the Folk Music Festival will feature traditional Omani bands and bands from Bulgaria, South Korea and Paraguay, presenting musical paintings celebrating cultural diversity.
Giuseppe Verdi's opera Simon Bocanegra will be performed on 23 and 25 January, conducted by Maestro Valery Gergiev and directed by Andrea Di Rosa. The opera will be preceded by an introductory seminar on 22 January and a "Lunchtime Music" session on 18 January.
On January 24, a special evening will be held with soloists from the Mariinsky Theater, highlighting timeless Russian melodies by Rimsky-Korsakov and Tchaikovsky.
January 2025 will conclude with a concert by Lebanese singer Majida El Roumi on January 30 and February 1, captivating the audience with her warm voice and the most beautiful poems of love and humanity.
