Ministry of Tourism Organizes Celebration in Royal Chariots Museum

The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism organized yesterday a celebration in the Royal Chariots Museum in Boulaq for its opening last Saturday as a part of the three new museums opened by the President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.

The celebration was attended by many ministers including the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, the Minister of Civil Aviation, and the Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Affairs Abroad.

Other distinguished figures who attended the event included the Cairo Governor, the former Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Ghada Wallie, the former Minister of Antiquities Zahi Hawass and the Alexandria Library Manger Dr. Moustafa El Feky.

Its worthy to note that 50 ambassadors from different African, Arabic and foreign countries including Italy, the United States of America, Poland, Japan, South Korea, Belgium, Morocco, Cameroon and Côte d'Ivoire that attended the celebration with their families.

The chairman of the Egyptian Automobile club Dr. Issa Ali, along with some board members and celebrities, also attended the Royal Chariots Museum celebration.

A number of promotional films were presented during the celebration including a short film about the Royal Chariots Museum, a film about the three newly opened museums; the Royal Chariots Museum, Sharm El-Sheikh Museum and Kafr El-Sheikh Museum and the “Same Great Feelings” promotional campaign film “Tourist in Egypt”.

The Minister of Tourism Dr. Khalid El Anani welcomed all the guests during his opening speech and expressed his happiness to be in the Royal Chariots Museum that is considered to be one of the most important chariot museums in the world especially after its latest restorations and developments.

The minister added that opening three new museums in three different cities in the same day is a special event especially since the president himself opened all three museums.

The minister also confirmed that all the antiquities in the three museums are originally Egyptian which reflects the greatness of the Egyptian history and culture, concluding his speech by thanking all the guests especially Dr. Wallie who attended the celebration despite her short visit in Egypt.

The “Tourath Misr” exhibition for handmade products and antiques was held on the sidelines of the Chariots museum celebration, along with some workshops.

It is worth mentioning that the celebration was sponsored by the Egyptian Automobile club.
