The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture Venus Fouad will inaugurate on Saturday, July 8, an art exhibition entitled: “History of Art” at the Royal Carriages Museum in Boulaq, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Dedaa Art Academy of Arts.
The “History of Art” features more than 50 artists, exhibiting fine artworks from every medium, including painting, sculpture, and printmaking.
According to organizers, the exhibition aims to shed light on the history of art and its evolution in different periods.
The exhibition's program includes a series of artistic performances by the Storm Band, and a musical group of talented children, in addition to an honoring event for artists.
The honoring event will be attended by Hamada Al-Saeed, Advisor to the Egyptian Opera House, Dr. Khaled Abu Al-Hamad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in Alexandria; Dr. Moamen Othman, Head of the Museums Sector at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities; the artist Rehab El-Gamal, the artist Sherif Salama, the artist Alaa Quqa, and the artist Yasser Al-Zanclawi, as well as a number from the leaders of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
