Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani, said today, Wednesday, that his country is ready to return to the nuclear agreement after removing sanctions imposed by the United States of America (USA).

Rouhani stressed that Tehran refused any change of the original formula of the agreement signed between Iran and the five permanent members of the United Nations (UN) Security Council and Germany.

He affirmed that his country will not negotiate the nuclear agreement again.

The Iranian President added during a televised speech that the nuclear agreement with the USA and Europe will not include either Iran’s missile program or the region’s files.

He revealed that activities of the inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA) will continue in the Iranian nuclear facilities within the frame of the    Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

Rouhani declared that his government adheres to Parliament’s resolution to suspend the additional appendix of the nuclear agreement.

On the other hand, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said on Wednesday that the path to diplomacy is open to Tehran, but it is still far from abiding by its pledges and we will see what can be done.

Blinken added, in a press interview, published by the US State Department on its website, that the nuclear agreement with Iran in 2015 was effective in preventing the Islamic Republic from producing the materials needed to obtain nuclear weapons, and that the US policy is still not to allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon.

"If Tehran returns to abide by the nuclear agreement and does the same thing, then we need to work on a longer and tougher agreement" than before, and that issues related to Iran's ballistic missile program and its destabilizing actions in the region must be addressed.

He stated that at the present time, US President Joe Biden has spoken clearly, publicly, and repeatedly about the USA position.
