Rolling Stone unveiled the list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time, with Jungkook of BTS featured as the only male Korean singer on the list.
The K-pop superstar came 191 on the list due to his perfect high notes and the ability to harmonize with other BTS members effortlessly.
“Jung Kook, the multifaceted youngest member of BTS, boasts a long list of talents — he’s a strong performer, written several songs, and is known to be extremely hardworking and humble despite the success he’s experienced at such an early age. He’s also an extremely gifted singer,” Rolling Stone highlighted.
Jungkook always gives his audience new ad-libs and unexpected vocal riffs to keep things interesting, from his official solo tracks like “Euphoria” to the covers he uploads for fans on BTS’ SoundCloud.
In 2022, he collaborated with Charlie Puth on “Left and Right”, which became the fastest song by a Korean soloist to surpass 400 million streams on Spotify.
Puth referred to Jungkook as one of the only artists “to have ever sent me perfect vocals.”
The two singers shared the stage together in 2018 when they performed “We Don’t Talk Anymore”.
Last November, Jungkook delivered a rocking performance with “Dreamers” at the FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony 2022 in Qatar.
Grammy-winning producer RedOne said the 25-year-old singer had a great start for his solo career with the World Cup song ‘Dreamers’.
“He [Jungkook] has a number-one song right now all over the world as a solo artist. I think it started incredibly good,” RedOne said. “He already made history for World Cup.”
The producer also indicated that it has never been a song made with crazy success out of the blue with no promotion yet. “It was just a performance at World Cup and boom! The song became No. 1.”
