The official spokesman for the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities in Saudi Arabia, Khaled Al-Khabrani, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the Kingdom is working to empower people with disabilities in an integrated manner with all government sectors, including Hajj and Umrah, to complete their religious rituals with ease and ease.
Al-Khubrani said - in an intervention with “Saudi News”: “The Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities aims, in cooperation with the various sectors concerned with the Hajj and Umrah system, to facilitate the process of their arrival and access to all services to perform their rituals in an easy manner, through means of transportation and communication, and health services and campaigns.” Hajj and Umrah to perform religious rituals.
He added that the Authority for the Care of People with Disabilities works in cooperation with the General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque, the Prophet’s Mosque, the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Authority, and the Hajj and Umrah system, to facilitate the access of people with disabilities to the Two Holy Mosques, to complete their religious rituals, and to perform circumambulation, seeking, and praying in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, through the system. The services provided to them, in addition to helping them with sign translation, using electric vehicles, which numbered 251 vehicles, obtaining copies of the Qur’an written in Braille, and translating religious lessons.
He called on pilgrims with disabilities to adhere to all instructions provided to them by all government sectors and Hajj and Umrah companies in the Kingdom, pointing out that there are national initiatives to provide psychological support to them during the Hajj season.
