Rita Ora (He Bled Neon) has boarded the cast of Amazon MGM Studios‘ dramedy "Honeymoon with Harry."
She'll join previously announced cast members Kevin Costner, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Sarah Pidgeon.
No word yet on the role to be played by Ora.
The project reunites Ora with Amazon after starring alongside Henry Cavill and Sterling K. Brown in their "Voltron" movie, helmed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, which is expected to release next year.
Based on the book by Bart Baker, "Honeymoon with Harry" follows a rough-around-the-edges man (Gyllenhaal) who ends up sharing an unwanted journey with his fiancée’s (Pidgeon) prickly, overprotective father (Costner) after a life-altering turn upends their plans. Against the backdrop of an island honeymoon, the two men clash and bicker before gradually uncovering an unexpected bond.
Glenn Ficarra and John Requa are directing from a script by Dan Fogelman.
Producers include Fogelman, Mike Karz via Gulfstream Pictures, and Jennifer Salke via her recently launched Sullivan Street Productions banner. The feature marks the latter’s first with Amazon MGM since stepping down as head of the studio and her producing debut.
A British pop star who broke out the early 2010s with chart-topping hits like “R.I.P.” and “How We Do (Party),” both off of her debut album "Ora," Ora will next be seen in Disney’s "Descendants: Wicked Wonderland," reprising her role of Queen of Hearts.
Other film credits include Drew Kirsch’s action-thriller "He Bled Neon," which is coming off its SXSW premiere, and the "Fifty Shades of Grey: franchise.
