Puerto Rican actress Rita Moreno is the latest addition to join the cast of the highly-anticipated movie “Fast X”.
“Fast and Furious” star Vin Diesel announced Tuesday the news on Instagram.
Diesel underlined how blessed he feels for being able to work with the Hollywood legend.
He also shared that Moreno has joined the upcoming sequel as his grandmother.
The post included a video of Diesel with his co-star Michelle Rodriguez and Moreno, who noted that she was just waiting for an invitation to jump aboard the multimillionaire franchise.
Moreno is one of the only 24 people in cinema history to be awarded Academy, Emmy, Tony, and Grammy Awards.
“Fast and Furious 10” is scripted by Chris Morgan and directed by Louis Leterrier.
The entire cast is set to return, including Diesel and franchise regulars such as Sung Kang, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Nathalie Emmanuel, Rodriguez, Scott Eastwood, Cardi B, and Charlize Theron, who’s played the villain Cypher since “The Fate of the Furious.”
Earlier this year, Brie Larson, Jason Momoa, and Daniela Melchior joined the all-star cast of “Fast X”.
The movie hits theaters on May 19, 2023.
