Report: Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn Break Up After Six Years

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn — who have been together for more than six years — have broken up.

According to Page Six, the split was amicable and happened a few weeks ago.

“It wasn’t dramatic “[The relationship] just ran its course,” a source said in a statement.

Swift, 33, has been on her blockbuster “Eras Tour” since March 17 and fans have noticed that Alwyn, 33, has been missing from the crowds.

It could be just speculation as a friend of the couple told People in March, “Joe will travel with her when he can. They are great together. Joe is super supportive of her career.”

Throughout their years together, Swift and Alwyn have been at the center of engagement rumors several times.

The Grammy winner even wore what looked like an engagement ring in her 2020 Netflix documentary, “Miss Americana,” but the speculation was never confirmed. Some fans were even convinced they secretly got married at some point, but we are told they did not.

Alwyn told WSJ. Magazine that he wouldn’t reveal their relationship status even if he did propose.

“I mean, the truth is, if the answer was yes, I wouldn’t say, and if the answer was no, I wouldn’t say,” he told the publication.

Swift and Alwyn met at the 2016 Met Gala and started dating a few months later, but did not go public until 2017. They were very private about their romance, despite rabid speculation from Swifties about which songs are about the “Catherine Called Birdy” actor.

“I’m aware people want to know about that side of things. I think we have been successfully very private and that has now sunk in for people,” Alwyn told Vogue in 2018.

Swift echoed the actor’s sentiments in the documentary “Miss Americana”.

“We decided together we wanted our relationship to be private. Even though [my public image in 2016] was really horrible, I was happy,” she said.

She continued, “But I wasn’t happy in the way I was trained to be happy. It was happiness without anyone else’s input. We were just… happy.”

A source told Entertainment Tonight back in October that they were "doing great" and that their "relationship is super strong."

The “Lavender Haze” songstress’ exes famously include Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, and Tom Hiddleston.
