Today marks the birth anniversary of late comedian Talat Zakria, fondly known as “President's Chef.”
Zakria, widely regarded as a remarkable comedian in the history of Egypt's cinema and entertainment, would have turned 61 if he was alive today.
The legendary actor was born in Alexandria to a humble family and graduated from The Higher Institute of Dramatic Art of Egypt.
At the age of twenty-two, he appeared in Egypt's showbiz for the first time, in 1982, in (The Personality).
Zakria's big breakthrough came with the lead role in 'Haha w Tofaha'( 2005) starring renowned Egyptian actress Yasmin Abdulaziz.
Thereafter, he acted in numerous prominent films, starting and working with renowned Egyptian stars.
He is well known for his seminal works, such as "President's Chef, 'Al-Ragol ul-Abiad al-Motawaset', 'Harim Karim', 'Sayed El Atefy', 'Abu Ali', 'Haramiyyah fi Tayland', and 'Haha w Tofaha'.
To commemorate his birth anniversary, his children Immy and son Omar took to social media to share a sweet post tribute to their father on this special occasion.
While sharing a rare photo of her dad, Immy also penned an emotional note to remember her father fondly. The short remembrance note said, "I miss you".
In the post shared by his son Omar, Zakria can be seen sporting an infectious smile.
Their father passed away on 8 October 2019 due to a brain inflammation at the age of 58.
