Remembering Alaa Wali Eldin on His 19th Death Anniv.

The 19th death anniversary of comedian Alaa Wali Eldin, commonly known as ‘Aboud’ is being observed today (Feb.11).

He was born on August 11, 1963; he was a great comedian and actor in Egyptian showbiz. He is still cited as one of the most acclaimed comedians of the Arab world.

Wali Eldin— best known for playing "Gwaher" in "ELNazer', 2000, movie,  was also one of the greatest comedians who made his name through his film career from the late 1980s until the 2000s.

He made his debut as a young actor in 'Zahra W Almaghol' in 1984, then he was noticed by many directors and filmmakers, who selected him to play many significant roles in many TV shows and films as well.

After a while, the late actor got a breakthrough from the film “Terrorism and Kebab”, starring renowned stars Adel Emam and Yossra in1992.

In the 1990s, his pairing with fellow comedian Mohamed Henadi was popular since “Alabnda" play. Wali Eldin and Henadi, as popular pair of comedians, were seen together in numerous films, plays, and TV shows.

In 1999, he played the lead role in the film “Abboud ala Alhoudoud', directed by maven director Sherif Arafa, and a year later, his renowned film (ELNazer) was a super hit at the box office.

Throughout his short career,  the talented actor featured in many notable films, such as "Ebn Ezz', 'Khulousi private guard', 'The Woman and the Hornet', 'Gabr Elkhawater', and 'Hala'a Housh".

Unfortunately, the remarkable actor passed away in 2003, at the age of 39, before completing the film “Araby Ta’reefa”.
