Reese Witherspoon, Jim Toth Divorcing after 12 Years of Marriage

American actress Reese Witherspoon, 47, and her husband Jim Toth, 52, are planning to divorce after nearly 12 years of marriage.

“We have some personal news to share,” Witherspoon said in an official statement on Instagram. “It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce.”

Despite the breakup, the couple “have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together.”

She affirmed that their “biggest priority” is their 10-year-old son, Tennessee, as well as their “entire family as we navigate this next chapter.”

“These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone’s respect for our family’s privacy at this time,” the “Big Little Lies” star concluded her post.

The announcement comes just two days after the couple’s 12-year wedding anniversary on March 26. They tied the knot in 2011 at her California ranch after dating for about a year.
