Singer Reem Ezzedine will perform live at the Room Art Space, in Garden City, Cairo, on Friday, January 19.
Ezzedine will perform several songs by great composers and singers, such as Fairouz, Abdel Halim Hafez, Fadel Shaker, Hamid Al Shaeri, and Amr Diab, in addition to some of her original songs beloved by her audience, such as "A Far Dream" and “Where Do You Go?”.
She will be accompanied by Kirollos Sami (violin), Mohamed El Ashry (bass guitar), Ahmed Magdy (keyboard), and Mohamed Arafa (percussion).
Ezzeldin’s musical talent started to manifest at a very early age. She began entering many competitions winning numerous awards.
In 2012, she won the first prize at a singing competition organized by the Ministry of Culture and joined The Voice, completing the first stage of the competition.
The singer credits the late artist Mohsen Farouk (1961-2017) with having a huge influence on her development. She performed alongside the singer at many venues across Egypt, including the Cairo and Alexandria operas.
She established herself in Ayamna El-Helwa, an ensemble founded and led by maestro Mohamed Osman. From the period of 2011 to 2022, Ezzeldin spent with the group and performed countless works by Angham, Fairouz, Leila Mourad, and Abdel Wahab, among others.
Ezzeldin left a great impression on the audience during her episodes of the TV program "Sahibet Al-Saada".
She launched her band in 2022 and performed at Room Art Space several times. In 2023, the singer alongside her band presented shows on some new stages such as the American University in Cairo (Tahrir Campus), Arabic Music Institute, Room Art Space (5th Settlement), and the Cairo Opera House’s small hall, during the Arabic Calligraphy celebrations.
Over the past months, Ezzeldin has participated in several artistic workshops focused on songwriting as well as is working on her debut album.
