Egyptian actress, Rasha Mahdi has recently joined the cast of Lebanese singer-actress Haifa Wehbe's film "Welad Al Mahzouza".
The film reunites Wehbe with director Morcous Adel after the film "Jory".
That pic also stars Bayoumi Fouad, Mahmoud El Leithy, Karim Afifi, Nancy Salah, Tony Maher, and more. Adel directs the project from a script by Haytham Saeid.
Born on August 12, 1982, Mahdi studied "Drama and Criticism" at the Institute of Performing Arts.
She made her acting career in 2001, starring in the film "Shorom Borom" and was followed by a role in the 2002 hit TV series “Amira in Abdeen”.
Her film credits also include “Wahid min Elnass” and "Badal Faqed", the latter earned her the second best actress award for her role in "Badal Fayed" at the ART Music, film, and TV Awards in 2010,
On the TV side, she is known for her roles in "Hikayat Gurub Al Eila", "Taqat Hob", “Ramadan Kareem”, “Ostaz wa Ra'ees Qesm”, “Al Araaf”, “Taht El-Ard”, “Al Moatn x”, “Ala Naar Hadi'a”, "Leqaa Ala El Hawa", “Mas'alat mabda”, and “Lahazat Harega” S2 and “Lahazat Harega” S1.
Mahdi is married to Syrian-Argentinian actor Firas Saayed and has two children.
