Uzbekistan's archeologists have found rare coins collections near to Namangan Region, estimated to be 1,200 or 1,500 years.

Among the well-preserved artifacts, there are silver coins that date back to 475-600 BC, according to the Regional Administration in Namangan, Uzbekistan.

It's believed that such coins were in circulation in the Golden Horde during the reign of Uzbek Khan.

In 2019, scientists at the National University of Uzbekistan found a similar treasure worth more than a million dollars in the basement of one of the oldest buildings in the capital, Tashkent.

The treasure was buried approximately 80 years ago. It consists of unique pieces of art, golden and silver coins, dishes, and items produced in bourgeois style – ancient paintings made on the walls of the 19th-century Evangelic Protestant and Christian Orthodox churches in Tashkent, icons and items made of precious metals.
