Egyptian actress Rana Raeis was hospitalized on Saturday to undergo an exploratory procedure after experiencing severe bleeding following a miscarriage.

Zeinab Hassan, Raeis’ mother, shared a health update on her daughter and noted she had suffered complications after she had lost her first child a month ago.

"Since then, she has been suffering from non-stop bleeding that has worsened in the past four days. The doctors are trying to determine the cause of the pain and bleeding."

Hassan added that her daughter's health condition is critical and that she needs the prayers of her fans and loved ones, especially since the surgery is being conducted to control the bleeding.

On May 5, Raeis got married to Yousry Ali, her childhood friend and the love of her life in Cairo, amid the attendance of her family and close friends, including several of her celebrity friends.
