Ramzi Yassa to share stage with Cairo Opera Orchestra

World-famed Egyptian composer and pianist Ramzi Yassa will share the stage with Cairo Opera Orchestra next Sunday.

Hosted at Cairo Opera House Grand Theater, the event is dedicated to the death anniversary of Polish composer Krzysztof Eugeniusz.

Therefore, several compositions by Eugeniusz will be performed such as Symphony No. 3, and Piano Concertos.

Symphony No. 1 of Chopin and one of Lutosławski's suites will be introduced.

The orchestra will be conducted by the famous Egyptian Ahmed Al Saidi.

Last week the Grand Theater witnessed Verdi’s “Un Ballo in Maschera” (A Masked Ball) performances on three successive nights.

Performed by Cairo Opera Orchestra, the shows were organized in cooperation with the Italian Cultural Institue.

Under the supervision of Dr. Iman Moustafa, Elio Orciuolo conducted the orchestra, Carmine Colangeli was the choirmaster, Hazem Tayel directed the whole shows.
