Cairo Opera House is set to organize a tribute night to the Italian Opera by introducing the "Famous Italian Opera Overtures and Intermezzi" concert on 19 November.
The concert will be the first performance of Maestro Elio Orciuolo as the principal conductor of the Cairo Orchestra in November.
The event is a collaboration between Cairo Opera House and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura e Centro Archeologico Italiano - Il Cairo (The Italian Cultural Center).
The concert will tackle the compositions of the most celebrated Italian composers such as Rossini, Verdi, and Cilea.
Oventrures refers to the introductory piece of the opera or the prelude of the story while the Intermezzi refers to the short musical interludes between the main pision of the orchestral work.
