Egyptian-American Rami Malek and British-American actress Lucy Boynton have split after five years together.
The stars met on the set of the 2018 movie "Bohemian Rhapsody", a biopic of Queen's Freddie Mercury, who was played by Rami, while Lucy played his girlfriend, Mary Austin.
According to The Sun, Malek, 42, and Boynton, 29, have gone their separate ways after 'drifting apart' recently. They've not been seen together in public since February.
“Rami and Lucy split earlier this year without much fanfare. They were together for a long time but had grown apart. They are both moving on with their lives and are busy with work," a source said.
“Rami has surrounded himself with his mates and has spent the summer enjoying himself."
The source also spoke about Malek being seen enjoying a tennis match at Wimbledon last month with Emma Corrin, who played Princess Diana in Netflix's "The Crown".
The insider claimed Malek "invited" Boynton, and that he is currently "enjoying life and living it up".
The duo looked cozy as they flashed shy smiles at one another. Boynton was also seen at Wimbledon, but not with and not at the same time as her rumored ex, Malek.
Malek, who has also appeared in the Twilight franchise, declared his love for Boynton while accepting the Academy Award for Best Actor for playing Freddie Mercury at the Oscars in 2019.
He said: “Lucy Boynton — you are the heart of this film, you are beyond immensely talented, you have captured my heart.”
That same year, Boynton hit out at an interviewee who had asked her about her relationship with Oscar-winning Malek.
She told The Cut: "I had an interview recently where I was asked such crude and candid questions about my relationship, it kind of forced me to pull way back [from the public eye]."
