Egypt’s Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady stressed that there is consensus between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the two-state solution and stopping violence, pointing out to the need to revive the peace process to solve the Palestinian issue.
“US President Joe Biden greatly praised the Egyptian role in resolving developments in the Palestinian territories, noting that Egypt's role is large and pivotal in the Palestinian issue,” Rady told Extra News TV on Thursday.
The spokesman added that Egypt's role is very unique with the great experience Egypt has in the Palestinian issue, noting that the time has come more than ever to solve the issue in a radical way that gives the Palestinian brothers their legitimate rights.
He stressed: “Changing the demography and the identity of Jerusalem is unnecessary,” manifesting that “these matters cause tensions.”
Rady reaffirmed Biden lauded President Sisi's efforts and moves in this regard, noting that the Egyptian moves were balanced, wise and smooth.
He pointed out that Sisi and Biden also dealt with bilateral relations, explaining that there is a desire to strengthen the strategic bilateral relations that spanned for 40 years in all fields.
