Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Qatari Prime Minister (PM) and Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed in a phone call received from Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them.
According to the Qatar News Agency, the two sides also discussed the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and promote security and stability in the region.
During the call, Qatari PM emphasized the necessity for all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, as well as to implement what was agreed upon within the framework of the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to maintain regional security, safeguard achieved gains, and enhance regional stability.
He reiterated Qatar's full support for all endeavors aimed at defusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves sustainable peace in the region.
