Emir of Qatar Sheik Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani acknowledged Prime Minister Sheik Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani's resignation and named Sheik Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdelaziz Al-Thani as new prime minister, Qatar's Amiri Diwan reported.

The new prime minister of Qatar, Sheik Khalid, will also be the cabinet's interior minister and foreign and energy ministers will remain in office.

The Qatari economy is witnessing a major collapse in the current period, in light of the floundering policies of the Qatari Emir, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. This collapse led to a decline in the trade surplus and oil exports in Doha.

Meanwhile, a new report revealed that the rights of the World Cup workers in Doha have become a mirage and they are still suffering.

A report broadcast by "Mubasher Qatar" TV channel said that despite Doha's pledge to the international community to protect the rights of workers on its soil to avoid international sanctions because of the demonstrations that pervaded the country, only doubts about the emirate's respect for these rights are a mirage until now, as they are still suffering from marginalization, repression and working in unsafe climatic conditions.

The report of the Qatar opposition channel added that the workers` rights to be implemented during the 2022 World Cup facilities in Qatar are stipulated in FIFA's 112-page strategy.

The report pointed out that the Qatari mafia claims every day that it respects these rights while conditions on the ground, it says quite the opposite.
