Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller will have a Prison Break reunion in the hostage drama “Snatchback,” a series in development at Universal Television.
Scott Rosenbaum serves as writer and executive producer, while Purcell also executive produces alongside Tish Cyrus-Purcell and Dannah Axelrod Summers of HopeTown Entertainment.
The official logline for “Snatchback” reads, “Inspired by the life of a real covert intelligence officer who is still active in the field today, the series follows a highly skilled privately contracted team of operatives as they recover hostages across the globe from some of the most exotic, and equally dangerous locations on the planet.”
Purcell and Miller led Fox’s “Prison Break” as brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield for four seasons from 2006 to 2009 followed by “The Final Break,” a TV movie that concluded the series before a revival was ordered; Season 5 aired on Fox in 2017.
They also appeared in the CW Arrowverse series “The Flash” and “Legends of Tomorrow,” with Miller playing Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold and Purcell playing Mick Rory aka Heat Wave.
Besides “Prison Break” and the Arrowverse, Purcell’s credits include “Blade: Trinity,” “Killer Elite,” “Blood Red Sky” and “Straw Dogs.” Up next, he will lead the Paramount and Republic Pictures film “Cassino In Ischia.”
Miller has appeared in “Law & Order: SVU,” “The Loft,” “The Human Stain” and “Madam Secretary.” He is also a screenwriter, having written the Park Chan-wook-directed thriller “Stoker.”
