According to Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Nile serves as the primary source of water for the nation, accounting for over 98% of its supply. Consequently, safeguarding this essential resource is a matter of existence.
This endeavor necessitates ongoing political dedication, diplomatic initiatives, and collaboration with neighboring countries to realize shared objectives.
This statement was made during President El-Sisi's address at the inauguration of the seventh edition of "Cairo Water Week."
He also urged the international community to enhance its support for the initiatives undertaken by African nations in the area of water resources management.
