Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly met today with Dr. Gihan Zaki, Minister of Culture, to review the ministry’s primary pillars of operation and its strategic vision for the upcoming period.

At the outset of the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized that culture remains a top priority within the government’s programs. He underscored the state’s commitment to "human development," aiming to build Egyptian awareness, nurture talent, and strengthen national identity.

Dr. Madbouly noted that the cultural sector is a cornerstone of Egypt’s "Soft Power," reaffirming the government’s dedication to investing in the nation’s cultural potential. A key focus will be restoring the pivotal role of Culture Palaces (Qusour al-Thaqafa) as vital hubs for discovering and sponsoring grassroots talent.

A Vision of Three Dimensions: Just, Safe, and Creative

Minister Gihan Zaki outlined the ministry’s new roadmap under the slogan: "Towards a Just, Safe, and Creative Culture." This vision is built upon three strategic pillars:

The Social Dimension: Achieving "Cultural Justice" and ensuring culture is a right for all citizens.

The National Dimension: Safeguarding "Cultural Security" by protecting identity and public awareness.

The Civilizational Dimension: Empowering creators and promoting Egyptian creativity globally.

Key Initiatives and Developments

1. Revitalizing Cultural Infrastructure

The Minister announced an immediate plan to modernize 30 Culture Palaces across various governorates within the next 12 months. These will be transformed into integrated lifestyle hubs featuring:

"People’s Cinema" screenings and digital book platforms.

Free studios for creators and "Confrontation and Roaming" theaters.

Mobile Culture Units to reach rural and border areas.

The "Cultural Card": A free digital pass for low-income students and people of determination to access all cultural events and services.

2. Engaging Generations "Z" and "Alpha"

To combat "digital cultural invasion," the ministry is launching a national program specifically for younger generations. This includes:

Interactive Apps & Gamified Heritage: Merging technology with Egyptian history.

Private Sector Partnerships: Collaborating with major firms to produce attractive, competitive digital content for social media.

Educational Integration: Embedding authentic cultural content into the primary education curriculum.

Digital Museum Platform: Utilizing modern formats like "Reels" to showcase the lives of Egypt’s iconic figures.

3. "Egypt Creates for the World"

Under the civilizational pillar, the Minister introduced initiatives to export Egyptian brilliance:

Digital Egypt Studio: A high-end production center to tell Egypt’s story to the world in a modern cinematic language.

National Fund for Creators: A joint venture with the private sector to provide grants for young talents nationwide.

Global Museum Partnerships: Collaborating with international capitals to exhibit Egyptian art and promote cultural exports.

Digital Transformation: The Backbone of Culture

Minister Zaki concluded by emphasizing that Digitization is no longer an option but a necessity. The ministry’s ultimate goal is the launch of a Unified Cultural Platform, a comprehensive digital gateway that consolidates all Egyptian cultural initiatives to ensure maximum reach and engagement.
