“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” has been renewed for Season 3 at Disney+ nearly a year before the series’ second season premiere.
Disney Branded Television and 20th Television have announced that a third season, based on the Rick Riordan novel “The Titan’s Curse,” is already in the works, with Season 2 of the hit show now set to debut in December 2025. An exact premiere date will be announced in the future.
The second season of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn and Daniel Diemer. Production recently wrapped in Vancouver.
The news is not altogether surprising, given how well Season 1 of “Percy Jackson” did on Disney+.
According to Nielsen streaming data, the show was among the top five most-watched original shows across all of streaming when it debuted in December 2023.
Disney had also previously reported that the first episode drew 13.3 million views in its first six days on Disney+ and Hulu, with a view defined as total time watched divided by runtime.
Created by Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, Season 2 of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is executive produced by Steinberg and Dan Shotz alongside Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Craig Silverstein, The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Bert Salke, The Gotham Group’s Jeremy Bell and D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Jason Ensler and Sarah Watson. 20th Television is the studio.
