The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) released more than 50 new videos and documents related to unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) on Friday, following orders from President Donald Trump, ABC News reported.
The newly declassified materials include footage of a mysterious object rapidly accelerating over Syria and testimony from an intelligence officer who reported seeing “strange glowing orbs” chasing a U.S. helicopter and fighter jets.
One officer described a tense aerial encounter in which two large orange spheres emitted light in all directions, appearing suddenly beside his helicopter during a military mission. When fighter jets were dispatched to investigate, the officer said the orbs began “pursuing the fighters themselves.” Reflecting on the experience, he added: “These sightings literally left us speechless.”
The Pentagon emphasized that there is no evidence linking the objects to extraterrestrial life, but many of the incidents remain unexplained. The public release of the videos and reports has drawn intense global interest, with the Pentagon’s website hosting the files reportedly receiving over one billion views.
The disclosures continue a series of recent government actions aimed at increasing transparency around UAPs, highlighting both the mysterious nature of these aerial phenomena and the challenges they pose to military observers and analysts.
