Paul Mescal and Rita Moreno will be honored at the fourth Annual Academy Museum Gala. Co-chairs for the event are Dr. Eric Esrailian, Salma Hayek Pinault, Nicole Kidman, Eva Longoria, and Tyler Perry.
The gala will be held on October 19 at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles.
The awards presented at this year’s Academy Museum Gala display the museum’s goal of advancing the understanding, celebration, and preservation of film and challenging narratives.
Mescal will be presented with the Vantage Award, which honors an emerging artist who is contributing to contextualizing and challenging dominant narratives in film, while Moreno will be presented with the Icon Award, which celebrates artists whose career has had a remarkable impact around the world.

The annual event serves to help raise funds to support museum exhibitions, education initiatives, public programming, screenings, K–12 programs, and access initiatives for the public and community of Los Angeles. This year’s gala is partnered with Rolex.
