Holy Family Journey Path Documentary Film Screened

Today, Tourism and Antiques Minister Khaled El Enani attended a celebration on the coming of the holy family to Egypt anniversary at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral.

Attended by the Pope of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria, the Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs Nabila Makram, a number of ambassadors, and priests, the celebration included a documentary film screening about the Holy Family Journey executed by Saint George Coptic Orthodox Monastery for Nuns.

Representing his Excellency and the Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, El Enani deeply explained the importance of this occasion on the historical and religious levels.

In addition, he asserted the importance of the Coptic Orthodox Church and its figurative position.

He mentioned that the Holy Family gifted various places in Egypt with their blessings through its 3-year and half journey.

El Enani explained the latest updates regarding the Holy Family Journey Route project including restoring the archaeological buildings and sites of it, in addition to upgrading the centers providing touristic services.

Moreover, the project included upgrading the infrastructure, laying the roads of the route, and establishing hotels nearby the different stops of the route.

The projects of reviving the Holy Family journey path take place in 8 governorates.

He also declared that the ministry is working on recording the Holy Family Journey Route to be listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list alongside recording the four churches of Wadi El Natrun. Therefore, there is a huge campaign for promoting it.
