On Wednesday, Armenian Prime Minister (PM) Nikol Pashinyan said that Russian peacekeepers will stay in the Nagorno-Karabakh region for more than 5 years, according to Russia Today (RT).
In an interview with TASS news agency, Pashinyan said, "True, five years may be enough to create guarantees of security and stability in the region."
"But the Karabakh conflict is a prolonged one, so I do not believe that the presence of Russian peacekeepers will be confined to one five-year period," he continued.
It is worth mentioning that, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced on Wednesday, that his country regained control over the Kalbajar district, as a part of a deal signed by Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia, that ended weeks of fighting over Nagorno-Karabakh.
