Dr. Hanafi Jabali, Egypt's Parliament Speaker, received on Wednesday his Bahraini counterpart, Fawzia Zainal, who is currently visiting Egypt, heading a high-level delegation.
At the outset of the meeting, Jabali welcomed Zainal and her accompanying delegation, stressing that the relations between both countries are 'well-established' and 'historic' at all levels.
He also referred to Egypt’s relentless effort to consolidate bilateral ties, especially at the parliamentary level, in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly countries.
Moreover, Egypt’s parliament speaker thanked Bahrain for its supportive stances to establish stability in the Arab Gulf region, hailing the joint coordination between both countries concerning different issues, as well as latest regional and international developments of common interests.
For her part, the Bahraini Parliament speaker praised Egypt’s leading, positive, and supportive role towards Bahrain.
She also affirmed the Bahraini parliament’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the Egyptian one in all parliamentary and legislative fields, as well as coordination between both sides in different international and regional parliamentary forums.
