Cairo University President Mohamed Othman El-Khosht was keen to cast his ballot Sunday at Shiekh Zayed Youth center, 6th of October city on the second and last day of parliamentary elections.
After voting, Al-Khosht stressed that participating in the parliamentary elections is a 'national duty', and everyone must vote to contribute to building Egypt's future through electing the right MPs.
Moreover, Cairo University president underscored the parliament's significant role, noting, "It is the legislative authority that issues laws followed by the country."
It is worth mentioning that, Egyptians resumed voting on Sunday for the second and last day in the first phase of parliamentary elections across 14 governorates.
The electoral process started at 9:00 am, amid tight precautionary measures over coronavirus spread.
The first day of elections witnessed a medium turnout from citizens, who were keen to cast their ballots with the utmost freedom.
The National Elections Authority has formed an operation room and announced a hotline number “19826” for receiving voters’ complaints throughout the two-day parliamentary elections.
