Parliamentary Elections: Egyptian Women Dominate Electoral Scene

Many Egyptian women flocked to polling stations across different governorates, raising flags to take part on the first day of parliamentary elections, kicked off earlier Saturday at 9:00 am.

Media outlets released several photos of women standing in lines waiting to cast their ballots.

It is worth mentioning that, the first stage of the parliamentary elections kicked off earlier today, Saturday, across all Egyptian governorates at 9:00 am.

The National Elections Authority coordinates with the concerned government agencies to secure the election process.

Police forces are deployed in the streets, while the Interior Ministry raised the level of preparedness to secure the election process.

NEA has formed an operation room and announced a hotline number “19826” for receiving voters’ complaints throughout the two-day parliamentary elections.

The re-runs of the first stage will be held for Egyptians abroad from November 21 to 23 and in Egypt on November 24 and 25.
