Pakistani ​President Felicitates Egyptian Leadership on National Day

Pakistani ​President Asif Ali Zardari has extended warmest felicitations to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El Sisi, and the brotherly people of Egypt on their National Day.

​The President said that Pakistan and Egypt enjoy close and cordial relations, rooted in shared values, mutual trust and long-standing bonds of friendship. He noted that the two countries have maintained a tradition of cooperation and understanding, both bilaterally and in multilateral forums, and continue to work closely on issues of common interest. ​The growing cooperation between the two nations across diverse fields including trade, investment, education, culture, defence and people-to-people exchanges is very encouraging, said the President.

President Zardari stated that Pakistan highly values its relations with Egypt and remains committed to further strengthening this partnership for the mutual benefit of the people of both countries. He appreciated the fact that the leadership of both countries have actively coordinated for resolution of the recent regional conflict and expressed confidence that the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and Egypt will continue to deepen in the years ahead, while contributing to regional harmony, sustainable development and greater economic opportunity.
