Pakistan, US Report Significant Progress in Reciprocal Trade Agreement Talks

Pakistan announced that it has made significant progress in negotiations with the United States regarding a reciprocal trade agreement, as both sides seek to resolve outstanding issues and finalize the deal at the earliest opportunity.

According to Pakistan's Samaa TV, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi stated today, Saturday, that the talks held in Washington on July 9 and 10 focused on building mutual consensus on pending matters.

Moreover, he added that the negotiations were conducted in a friendly and constructive environment.

Key Discussion Points and Next Steps

Andrabi explained that Commerce Minister Jawad Paul, who headed the Pakistani delegation, described the discussions as positive and expressed appreciation for the substantial progress achieved during the negotiations.

This round of talks is expected to bolster the efforts made by both nations to enhance bilateral trade relations and establish a mutually beneficial framework for reciprocal trade.
