The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Thursday that Islamabad will encourage Washington and Tehran to halt violence and resume talks under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) it brokered last month.
*Pakistan Calls for Resumption of Negotiations
Pakistan's Geo News (English edition) quoted the ministry's spokesperson, Tahir Hussain Andrabi, as saying, "While the implementation of the MoU faces challenges, Pakistan will continue to urge all parties to end violence and resume technical-level talks in accordance with the memorandum."
*Emphasis on Peaceful Solutions
Andrabi expressed deep concern over the renewed tensions between Iran and the United States, noting that Pakistan is closely monitoring regional developments and firmly believes that negotiations remain the best path to resolving disputes.
He added that conflicts serve no one's interests, expressing hope that all parties involved will remain committed to a peaceful resolution of their differences.
