On Wednesday, May 22, the Egyptian Opera House will host a cultural salon to commemorate Sinai Liberation Day.
Dr. Nevin Al Kilani, Minister of Culture, attended an artistic celebration organized by the Egyptian Opera House to honor the late musician Ammar Al-Sharaei. The event, led by Dr. Lamia Zayed, took place on the grand stage of the Opera House and was also attended by radio personality Mervat Al-Qaffas, the widow of the late musician.
Al-Kilani expressed, “This celebration pays tribute to one of the icons of Egyptian art. He was a significant musical figure and a remarkable creator who enriched Arabic music with his melodies and contributed to the enrichment of Egyptian and Arab culture.”
The concert featured performances by renowned singers Mohamed El-Helou and Ali El-Haggar, accompanied by the musical band led by Maestro Tamer Ghoneim. Opera stars Amira Ahmed, Noha Hafez, Mohamed Hassan, Hanan Essam, Angham Mostafa, Rehab Omar, and marimba player Nesma Abdel Aziz, along with the children’s choir, also participated.
The program included a selection of the late musician Ammar Al-Sharaei's most wonderful melodies, presented by the great singers, as well as sequences from famous series and his numerous creations, such as “The Break Bell,” “Tears in Shameless Eyes,” and “Arabesque.”
