President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades welcomed Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia on Wednesday.
“It is with great pleasure that I welcome to #Cyprus the President of #Egypt @AlsisiOfficial and the Prime Minister of #Greece @kmitsotakis,” Anastasiades tweeted.
He added that “Despite the enormous challenges, our trilateral cooperation continues unabated and is, in fact, reinforced.”
President Sisi headed this morning, Wednesday, to the Cypriot capital, Nicosia, to participate in the tripartite summit among Egypt, Cyprus and Greece, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
This is the eighth round of the tripartite summit within the framework of the cooperation mechanism that brings together the three countries.
“The tripartite summit comes in the context of supporting and deepening the distinguished relations among the three countries, enhancing political consultation and exchanging views on ways to address the challenges facing the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East regions,” Rady added.
