President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will head this morning, Wednesday, to the Cypriot capital, Nicosia, to participate in the tripartite summit among Egypt, Cyprus and Greece, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

This is the eighth round of the tripartite summit within the framework of the cooperation mechanism that brings together the three countries.

“The tripartite summit comes in the context of supporting and deepening the distinguished relations among the three countries, enhancing political consultation and exchanging views on ways to address the challenges facing the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East regions,” Rady added.

The summit also aims to complete what has been achieved during the previous seven summits, assess the development in various areas of cooperation, and follow up on the joint projects that are being implemented within the framework of the tripartite mechanism.

It is scheduled that Sisi will meet with Cypriot President "Nikos Anastasiades", to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries.

The President will also hold a meeting with Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of Greece, to address ways to strengthen bilateral relations at all levels.
