Marking the 52nd anniversary of Egypt’s glorious October Victory, former Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa reflected on the historic day that, as he described, “bridged the gap between despair and hope,” echoing the words of the late President Anwar El-Sadat, leader of the October crossing.
In a statement shared on the occasion, Moussa said:
“It is a moment to remember that our faith in ourselves, in our nation, and in our armed forces, remains our strongest weapon. We triumphed when we regained confidence, dignity, and will.”
He extended his salute to all who contributed to the victory of October 1973 — the living, the fallen, and those who have passed — with special tribute to President Anwar El-Sadat and the martyrs of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
Moussa concluded his message with a patriotic note:
“Long live Egypt.”
