Veteran Egyptian composer Omar Khairat will perform live at the Arena Kuwait (TAK), in Al Zahra City, Kuwait, on May 16-17.
Khairat is set to perform several of his masterpieces.
Khairat was born on November 11, 1948, in the Al Sayeda Zainab neighborhood in Cairo to a family that loved the arts and the piano.
He studied music at the Conservatoire, which was founded by his uncle, and began studying piano in 1959 at the hands of the Italian Professor Caro, and then he studied music composition in London.
Khairat is considered one of the most outstanding composers in the world. He was a member of the Egyptian rock band Les Petits Chats, which was founded in 1967.
The band was immensely popular in the late 1960s and the early 1970s. They presented songs in Italian, French, and English.
